Project Execution Plan Template
The Project Execution Plan template is used by the Management Cluster to communicate how the Technology Cluster management system is going to be implemented on the project. It will become a common document appended to all contracts and agreements and be developed as more detail of the project becomes available. The template is cross referenced to the iBook and the process maps.
Process maps
A common failing of project organisations is that whilst there are many good people they have a differing view of what is going on at any one time and what all the other people are meant to be doing. the 3tozero process map has a matrix of roles set against the steps in the overall process so that by clicking on a stage and role in that stage the user can see what the task scope is and the surrounding tasks. The object is to raise awareness of the input requirements of each task, who is to provide the inputs and the outputs needed by others along the chain.
The process maps have been designed to embed the requirements of the Technology Cluster approach together with the roles of the Cluster Managers.
Education and training
Whilst a simple concept, the implementation of Technology Clusters requires the knowledge and culture of the project organisation to be challenged and changed. The 3tozero approach is multi-faceted.
1. An education course to explore the thinking around the Technology Cluster concept based on the iBook; Advanced Construction Management. This will be delivered on line.
2. Implementation courses. These are one or half day courses aimed at key implementation stages for project team personnel covering, the Management Cluster, Cluster managers, Package managers and Specialist Trade contractors. Each course will induct the cluster concept, develop collaborative working along the supply chain and build the team's approach to the next stage of implementation.
